Charlie Sheen leaves hospital

Charlie Sheen has left hospital.

The 'Two and a Half Men' star - who was admitted to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai hospital early yesterday (27.01.11) morning with abdominal pains - was reportedly allowed home late last night and is now "resting" with friends.

Charlie's hospitalisation came after a 36-hour drinking session with porn stars at his house, though pals of the singer insist his need for medical assistance did not stem from his drinking or drug use, and his spokesperson has confirmed he aggravated a hernia.

His representative said: "Charlie has had a hernia condition for some time. I was told by the person who made the 911 call that it was hernia-related."

Despite his medical problem not being linked to his partying, worried pals want 45-year-old Charlie to check into rehab, but he insists he doesn't need help.

One friend said: "He definitely did not overdose but, yes, he was partying.

"He doesn't think he's going to die. He doesn't want to stop. In his eyes, he thinks, 'I'm having fun, so what? I'm making $2 million a week, the show has the best ratings, I show up for work. What's the problem?'

"He's got so many people saying they're concerned and they have the power to help him but you can't force things on someone, you can't make him get help."

Charlie - who has two daughters, Lola, six, and five-year-old Sam, with ex-wife Denise Richards and 22-month-old twins Bob and Max with estranged spouse Brooke Mueller - doesn't think his wild behaviour has any serious consequences, which is why his friends believe he refuses to seek help.

The source added to People: "He loves the attention, he loves to shock people, he loves that he gets away with all of this. And he can because there are no consequences - that's the problem. It's who he is, like it or leave it. Maybe at 22, you're with five hookers, so what? But when you're his age and a father, it's just ridiculous."

Another friend said: "The crazy thing is, he'll probably be just fine. It's part of why he doesn't see the problem."
