Peyton Manning threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns, Joseph Addai rushed for 105 yards and a TD and Marvin Harrison had 77 yards receiving and the deciding touchdown as the Indianapolis Colts (6-4) held off the Houston Texans (3-7) 33-27 on Sunday for their third straight win.
The Texans led 13-9 at halftime as Kris Brown had a pair of field goals and Ahman Green scored on a one yard run but the Colts grabbed the lead in the third quarter when Addai scored on a 23-yard pass fom Manning to put Indianapolis in front 16-13.
Houston answered the Indy touchdown with a 71-yard touchdown run by Steve Slaton, the longest in franchise history, and the Texans were back in front 20-16. That lead was short lived though as Addai once again found the endzone, this time on a 7-yard run.
Manning then hooked up with Harrison early in the fourth for a 10-yard touchdown to give the Colts a 30-20 cushion. Green scored again for the Texas on a 2-yard run to get the Texans to within three but Adam Vinatieri booted his fourth field goal of the game for the 33-27 lead.
Sage Rosenfels had a chance to lead the Texans to the go-ahead score late in the game but he was picked off with a minute left and the Colts ran the clock out for the win.
