NFL Scores Week 11: New Orleans Saints Back to .500 After Topping Kansas City Chiefs

Drew Brees threw for 266 yards and a touchdown, Pierre Thomas rushed for 88 yards and a TD and Lance Moore collected 102 yards receiving and a TD as the New Orleans Saints (5-5) beat the Kansas City Chiefs (1-9) 30-20 on Sunday to pull even on the year.

The Chiefs grabbed a first quarter lead when Dwayne Bowe hauled in a 6-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Thigpen but after Garrett Hartley kicked a 30-yard field goal and Deuce McAllister scored on a one-yard run the Saints were up 10-7. Connor Barth managed to pull the Chiefs even with a 20-yard field goal but Hartley sent New Orleans into the half with a 13-10 lead when he hit from 23-yards out as the second quarter came to a close.

Moore extended the Saints lead to 20-10 early in the third when he took a Brees pass 47-yards for a touchdown. After Barth kicked his second field goal of the day to get the Chiefs to within 20-13 Thomas pounded it in from a yard out to move the Saints in front 27-13.

Bowe pulled down his second TD early in the fourth quarter but Hartley sealed the game with a 35-yard field goal with 3:28 left on the clock.
