Judy Buckles Brings Up a Legal Malpractice Case

Legal malpractice cases crop up very often. Few get the kind of attention and empathy received by Judy Buckles. She has brought up a case against many Madison county asbestos attorneys as well as the former Hopkins Goldenberg law firm. I guess these lawyers will know how it feels.

She wanted to make this Right

A former client of Hopkins and Goldenberg, Buckles had first approached them to fight the case and win a settlement for her husband who was found to be suffering from mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer that is caused due to asbestos exposure. It was believed that her husband was exposed to asbestos at his workplace which was not uncommon over 30 years ago in America.

Change of Judge

Madison County Circuit Judge Barbara Crowder was presiding over the case. Buckles has now appealed against three orders that were issued in the case by Crowder. In the aftermath of her appeal, the case has now been assigned a new judge. Madison County Circuit Judge William Mudge will now preside over the case. The case that seems to not want to go away is upon us.

Hopefully Good Prevails

Buckles has also alleged that her attorney in the mesothelioma case from the law firm as well as later attorney John Simmons deliberately messed up the settlement procedure. Mesothelioma lawyers are chosen because they are well versed in dealing with such cases but they are not perfect. Many cases come to mesothelioma lawyers and most of them reach a fruitful settlement. Attorney of this kind are known for their specialization, fact finding prowess, and attention to detail. If her allegations are proved, it will be sad day for mesothelioma Attorneys and the entire law fraternity. It is hoped that justice is finally meted out to Buckles.
