Hayley Tamaddon blames Ice show for love woes

Hayley Tamaddon blames 'Dancing On Ice' for the break-up of her relationship.

The former 'Emmerdale' actress won the celebrity skating contest last year, but just weeks later it emerged her fiance Darren Charles had been cheating on her and the 34-year-old star thinks her hectic training schedule contributed to the demise of their union.

Of the reasons for their split, she told Closer magazine: "My work schedule was partly to do with it. I got very worked up during 'Dancing On Ice'.

"When I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to go to skating lessons, so it's one thing I've always wanted to do and I didn't let anything get in my way. I was totally focused on it and hardly ever at home. It was a crazy time."

Though Hayley is not bitter about her split from Darren, she has ruled out any prospect of reconciliation in the future.

She added: "Darren's not a bad man. When you've spent six years with each other you can't just say, 'That's it.' We had a house together and we're sorting that out. But we're not getting back together."

Hayley also insisted there was no jealousy between choreographer Darren and her 'Dancing On Ice' skating partner Dan Whiston, but acknowledged that she became incredibly close to the skater because they spent lots of time together.

She said: "You're spending 24 hours a day with your skating partner, for three months - I suppose it's like jumping headfirst into a serious relationship."
