Ne-Yo is set to collaborate with Bruno Mars on a new track.
The 'Beautiful Monster' hitmaker and the 'Just The Way You Are' singer have, between them, written hits for Cee-Lo Green, B.o.B, Rihanna, Beyonce Knowles and Alexandra Burke, and Ne-Yo is keen for them to team up as he knows it will be a winning combination.
He said: "I worked with Bruno before my name was even Ne-Yo. We have been talking about doing something together again. I don't want to give too much away, but it's being talked about."
Ne-Yo - real name Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr. - added he's glad to see his friend, who has recently scored number one hits in the US and the UK with his first two singles, achieving so much in his solo career.
He added: "To see him doing so well and come out with these big tunes for himself makes me proud."
Before Ne-Yo works with Bruno, however, he is looking forward to his UK tour, which starts in Scotland on February 25.
He added to the Daily Star newspaper: "I'm doing things on this tour I've never done before. I'm looking for another way to express myself.
"I'm glad to be doing it in Britain as fans here aren't interested in scandal, they just say we love the music you make."
