Prince Harry and former girlfriend Chelsy Davy are close to reconciling according to friends.
The British prince and his Zimbabwean former girlfriend split up in September after a six-year romance but friends have revealed the couple stay in touch on social networking site Facebook and a reunion is looking promising when Chelsy returns to the UK after a gap year abroad.
A friend told the Daily Mail: "Chelsy has had a great six months out but she only intended to have a year off from her legal training and then she plans to move back to London, where she has a flat in Belgravia.
"She still has a job offer at lawyers Allen & Overy and plans to start there in September.
"If she's back in the UK the chances are she will be back with Harry. They are still fond of each other and are always leaving sweet messages for each other on Facebook."
Although Chelsy is rumoured to be dating her friend and former flatmate Alayne Moseley, friends say Harry is her real love and he can't wait for her to return to London.
The source said: "But if anything Alayne is a stop-gap. Chelsy's real love is Harry, who's desperately missed her while she's been travelling. We have never ruled out a reconciliation."
It is thought Harry will ask Chelsy to attend his brother Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton with him in April.
