Charlene Wittstock is looking forward to seeing her friends in South Africa when she makes one of her final trips home before becoming a princess in July.
The former Olympic swimmer - who will marry Monaco's Prince Albert on July 2 - revealed she is excited about having some traditional South African cuisine as she prepares to travel to her home country to take part in charity swim the Midmar Mile, to raise funds for the country's special Olympics.
She said: "I'm really looking forward to a braai [similar to a barbeque], seeing my friends and if possible even going to a Sharks [rugby] match."
Despite her swimming pedigree, the 32-year-old bride-to-be has warned she is not "in Olympic condition" but is hoping to raise both awareness and funds for the Special Olympics.
She added she is excited about returning to swimming on a social level.
Giorgio Armani announced last month he will design Charlene's wedding dress saying "Yes, I want to declare, I will make the wedding dress."
Giorgio and his niece Roberta are close friends of the 32-year-old bride-to-be with Roberta recently revealing she thinks Charlene will make a wonderful princess.
She said: "But Charlene is my friend, which makes me biased! She is perfect for being a princess. She's down-to-earth but also clever, determined. She shines in our clothes!"
