Alsbridge Announces Winners of the 2010 Outsourcing Leadership Award

Alsbridge Inc. today announced the winners of the 2010 Outsourcing Leadership Awards at a private reception and dinner held for an exclusive group of IT executives gathered together for the first of four Outsourcing Leadership Summits to be held in 2011. The Outsourcing Leadership Awards are given to IT executives who demonstrate leadership, innovation and the ability to deliver results that successfully contribute to a company’s growth.

Alsbridge founder and CEO Ben Trowbridge presented the award for “Excellence in Global Strategic Sourcing” to Andrew Peel, CIO of Ace Overseas General, a global insurance and reinsurance leader.  Peel recently led three major transformational initiatives at The Ace Group, including the IT component of a $2B acquisition.

Trowbridge then presented the award for “Excellence in Renegotiation Transformation” to Joanne Cummins, CIO of Standard Register, a recognized leader in document management services.  Cummins recently led simultaneous contract renegotiations with two Tier 1 IT service providers to achieve substantial TCV savings and introduce flexible pricing for variable consumption with committed continuous improvement targets.

Trowbridge presented the third award to Linda Kinder, CIO of Kellwood, a designer, manufacturer and retailer of fashion brands for “Excellence in Shared Services Transformation”.  Kinder recently led an insourcing effort to bring services back in-house that had been outsourced to a Tier 1 provider to reduce cost and align IT services with their existing business needs.

“These CIOs have successfully guided their organizations through massive transformations.  They are truly outsourcing leaders, and Alsbridge has recognized them as such in our inaugural set of Outsourcing Leadership Awards,” says Trowbridge.
