A New Player in the Online Q&A World Looking to Become a Fun Alternative to the Existing Q&A Forums

San Francisco based ithinksotoo is a new social Q&A platform that is aiming to become the place to go on the web to find out what people across the globe think. Their mission is to catalogue the largely untapped space of opinions and experiences. While search engines like Google and online encyclopedias like Wikipedia are great at providing answers to questions with, relatively, easy and clear-cut answers - ithinksotoo is aiming to come as close as possible to answering the rest.

San Francisco based ithinksotoo.com is looking to make us re-think the way we find answers to questions online. By creating an extremely simple to use interface and by making it easy for users to answer (and post) questions, they expect to help users get closer to finding answers to those questions that can't be answered anywhere else online.

The 'secret sauce' behind ithinksotoo's ability to provide different answers from what a traditional online search may yield is their ability to aggregate opinions from thousands of internet users across all walks of life. What better way to understand whether cheaters deserve a second chance than to see what a wide selection of different people think (by the way, 60% of people don't think so).

Google, Bing, Wikipedia, and even most of the traditional Q&A sites like Yahoo! Answers and Wiki Answers don't usually focus on opinion type questions. Things like "Are you happy with the life that you are living?", "Have you ever gone on a blind date?" or "Do you buy organic food?". However, these are exactly the kind of questions where ithinksotoo succeeds. There is no limit to the kind of questions that are tracked. From comic books, to music, lifestyle, cars and movies - anything goes. In fact, questions can be entered by anyone (as long as they are registered users). The only catch is that all questions need to written in a way that they can be answered with either a "Yes" or a "No". However, this apparent limitation, actually adds a lot to do the ithinksotoo experience. Questions are concise and answers are easy to interpret - not to mention that users can get an answer without having to scroll through a plethora of webpages and user submitted monologues.

The site was officially launched January 24th, 2011 and in just 4 short days has registered over 125,000 answers and registered users have added around 1,000 questions. The site's simplicity and the interesting collection of questions makes using the site extremely fun and addictive. If this early success continues, ithinksotoo will be an interesting player to watch in the increasingly popular Q&A space in the web.
