Naomi Campbell wants peaceful life

Naomi Campbell wants a "peaceful" life.

The 40-year-old supermodel has been arrested for assault several times but is adamant she isn't an angry person and says her temper only flares up when she feels "insulted".

She said: "I feel like I am an emotional person. If I feel that I am attacked, and pushed into a corner, I will definitely put my guard up. And defend myself.

"I don't want the hassle. I just want a peaceful life. But there are people who want to provoke me."

Among the incidents she has been involved in was a row over lost luggage at London's Heathrow airport in April 2008.

Naomi was arrested for assaulting a police officer and using threatening behaviour towards cabin crew and was subsequently banned from all British Airways (BA) flights and eventually convicted on three counts of assaulting a police constable and one count of disorderly conduct likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress relating to the BA staff.

She was sentenced to 200 hours of community service.

But the catwalk star insists the explosive altercation was sparked because she felt "insulted" by airline crew.

In an interview with Britain's GQ magazine, she said: "I had made a lot of friends over the years with BA's VIP customer services. But I felt insulted."

Despite her reputation for being "scary", Naomi feels it is undeserved and believes she has only been given the label because she is prepared to speak her mind.

She added: "I think that any woman who opens her mouth and tells it like it is becomes a scary woman."
