Arcade Fire blasted as 'not good people'

Members of Arcade Fire have been blasted as "not good people" by filmmaker Vincent Moon.

Although the director recently completed a tour documentary about the 'We Used To Wait' group called 'MIROIR NOIR', he now says he wasn't impressed by their behaviour and the people they surround themselves with.

He told Toronto based website eyeweekly.com: "They're not good people, that's it. And I don't mean the whole band - I mean the leaders of the band and their management.

"What I hate about the band now is that people call them an indie band and they're not an indie band, they are a mainstream band. Maybe they're on an indie label but that doesn't mean anything. Those guys are just making things on a very big level, a very mainstream way of thinking."

Vincent made his film on the road with the group between May and July in 2008, but now says he disagrees with how the band - fronted by husband and wife duo of Win Butler and Regine Chassagne, and joined by Will Butler, Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury, Jeremy Gara, and Sarah Neufeld - conduct their business.

He added: "The way they deal with their business is really disgusting for me. The way they deal with things is awful. Their management are awful, awful people, and I know what I'm talking about. I have some really terrible stories with them."

Despite his comments, Vincent - who was born Mathieu Saura - said he does not regret making his film about the band.

The group themselves have yet to respond to the comments by the filmmaker.
