'Hollyoaks' Jacqui McQueen will claim that Gilly Roach has raped her.
The loudmouthed brunette seeks solace with boyfriend Rhys Ashworth's (Andrew Moss) best pal - who is played by Anthony Quinlan - following a row with her lover, and after they share a kiss, they end up having sex, though each has a different version of events as to what happened.
Claire Cooper, who plays Jacqui, said: "It's what Jacqui believed happened. She agrees she was drunk and kissed Gilly but she didn't want sex with him and she's convinced she was raped. She thinks she made it clear to Gilly that she didn't want sex but somehow he didn't get the message. But he believes it was consensual sex between them."
Jacqui is left devastated when Rhys is unsure whether he believes her after she hesitates about calling the police, but eventually does so, resulting in Gilly - whose wife Steph died in December 2010 - being arrested and charged.
Claire said: "She's known to the police for robbing so she thought they wouldn't take her claims seriously. But Rhys' doubt changes her mind. Jacqui's devastated he hasn't automatically taken her side. She reports Gilly and then he's arrested and charged."
She added that neither she nor Anthony has any idea which character is telling the truth, saying the outcome will be a "surprise" for both of them.
