Amber Le Bon ignores mother's modelling advice

Amber Le Bon refuses to take modelling advice from her mother.

The 21-year-old beauty - daughter of Duran Duran star Simon Le Bon and supermodel Yasmin Le Bon - is enjoying huge success as a model but says she doesn't turn to her mum for tips, even though she has years of experience in the industry.

Speaking at the Rodial Beautiful Awards at the Sanderson Hotel in London last night (01.02.11), Amber exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I never ask my mum for advice. I know she's been there and done it all, but what young girl listens to what their mother has to say?!"

Although she has appeared in several catwalk shows, Amber - who was named as the Freshest New Face at the awards - admitted she still gets nervous just before she hits the runway.

Amber - who is the face of Forever 21 - said: "I get terrified every time I'm about to do a catwalk show even though I've done quite a few. I'm just so scared I'm going to fall over so I have to really concentrate! And because it's not a normal walk you have to do, I make sure I practice beforehand. Me and my sister always used to practice our runway walk in the street when we went out, which was always fun."

Other winners at the awards included Sadie Frost, Cat Deeley and 'Harry Potter' star Bonnie Wright.
