Zach Galifianakis is in talks in 'R.I.P.D.' (Rest In Peace Department) with Ryan Reynolds.
The 'Hangover' star has reportedly been approached by producers to take on the role of Roy Powell - "a gunslinger who has been dead for hundreds of years" - in the Dark Horse comic book adaptation to be directed by 'Red' filmmaker Robert Schwentke.
'Green Lantern' star Ryan Reynolds has already been confirmed to play the lead role of murdered police officer Nick Cruz who is recruited to join a ghost force where cops monitor spirits who are not ready to leave earth after their death.
Universal are planning to shoot the movie this summer when Ryan has a break in his busy schedule and sources close to the production have revealed it is an ideal time for Zach as he will be finished promoting 'The Hangover 2".
Zach is currently filming a role for the upcoming 'Muppets' movie while Ryan will next be seen in 'The Change -Up' and 'The Croods'.
It is thought filming on R.I.P.D. could affect his plans to star in 'Wolverine' spin-off 'Deadpool' which was also slated to begin shooting this summer.
