Jennifer Lopez becomes Venus ambassador

Jennifer Lopez has become the first-ever global brand ambassador for Gillette Venus razors.

The singer-and-actress stars in a new campaign for the firm to promote their new shavers, in which she flaunts her smooth legs by the beach, as well as recorded her own rendition of the classic pop hit 'Venus'.

Jennifer will also help launch the Venus Goddess Fund for Education, which supports female empowerment through education and benefitting charities like CARE International, the Step Up Women's Network and her own Maribel Foundation.

While this is a campaign Jennifer appears in alone, last year she starred alongside two-year-old twins Max and Emme in adverts for Gucci's new children's line.

However, she admitted she and husband Marc Anthony were in two minds about doing it, but eventually agreed because the money was going to charity.

She said: "Frida Giannini from Gucci said she was going to launch the Gucci's kids line, and they were going to do it in conjunction with a big donation, and they were going to do it with UNICEF, and would we do it?

"Marc didn't really want to put the babies in an ad or anything like that. And I was just like, if they do it, I'd want to do it with my kids because it is for the kids. That's the connection. That's what makes it real. We don't really parade them around like that, so it was for a good cause."
