Britney Spears names album 'Femme Fatale'

Britney Spears' new album is called 'Femme Fatale'

The 'Hold It Against Me' singer announced the title of her "Dangerous yet mysterious" seventh studio album this afternoon (02.02.11), dedicating it to the fans who have stuck by her throughout her career.

In a series of twitter posts she wrote: "I've poured my heart and soul into this album over the last 2 years. I've put everything I have into it (sic).

"This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all!

"Sexy and Strong. Dangerous yet mysterious. Cool yet confident!"

She then posted the album's cover, which shows a close up of her face, and wrote "March...", referring to when it will be released.

The album follows up 2008's 'Circus', and record saw Britney work with long-time collaborators Dr. Luke and Max Martin on a number of tracks, including 'Hold It Against Me', which has become a top ten single in 18 countries.

Gossip website Radaronline.com also claimed last year to have heard a leaked track, called 'Pleasure You' which it described as "about being submissive, a servant and doing whatever it takes to please her man".

Britney is also expected to perform at this year's Grammy awards, held on February 13 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
