California lawyer Robert Mansour has created an audio CD titled "Introduction to Estate Planning" for his clients. A commonly researched topic, estate planning covers wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other important concepts. If you would like to learn more, visit Robert Mansour's website at www.MansourLaw.com and ask for a copy of the CD. You can also download the mp3 for listening on your computer or Ipod.
After 17 years of practicing law, attorney Robert Mansour indicates, "There isn't very much user-friendly information out there for today's busy clients.
Estate planning can be a very mysterious area of law. Some people don't have time to read a book or attend an entire seminar. However, most have time to listen to audio in their car or on their computer. Some will even use their MP3 player to learn about certain topics."
"I send out the CD to clients who want to learn more about wills, living trusts, and estate planning." Some clients who are pressed for time appreciate the gift. The CD runs about 40 minutes and is an easy listen, presented in a "radio interview" format. Even those with plenty of time have found the CD quite educational. Robert adds, "Of course, the CD is also a marketing tool for my law office, but it is primarily educational in nature. You won't hear me pushing my law practice every five minutes."
Robert explains how he created the CD, "One of my clients has a recording studio. One day, I walked in and told them I'd like to record an audio CD that explains the fundamentals of wills, living trusts, joint ownership, gifting, and other estate planning concepts. I gave them 25 questions to ask me during the interview and we recorded it without any rehearsal. I wanted to make the conversation as natural and easy-going as possible."
Some of Robert Mansour's clients find that listening to the estate planning audio CD prior to their first meeting with him to be quite beneficial. It helps outline the basic concepts so the first meeting is much more productive. "Some clients have told me they've listened to the CD several times and have found it very helpful," says Robert.
