Man dies after vehicle flips over in car accident

A man died after being involved in a single car accident on Tuesday night in Elk Grove.

The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 9300 block of Calvine Rd.

Police report that when they arrived at the scene, they found an overturned red Ford pickup truck that appeared to have collided against a retaining wall.

Two men were trapped inside the vehicle when police showed up and EMS and fire crews were called to assist.

The two victims were pulled out of the truck but one of the men was already dead when paramedics arrived. The other victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the man who died.
