Charlie Sheen thanks fans for support

Charlie Sheen has thanked his fans for their support after he began his home rehab stint.

The 'Two and a Half Men' actor - who started a three-month programme last week after being hospitalised following an alleged 36-hour drink and drug session at his Los Angeles home - is grateful for the messages he has received, as well as the encouragement and understanding from his work colleagues.

In a statement, Charlie said: "I have a lot of work to do to be able to return the support I have received from so many people. I want to say thank you to my fellow cast members, the crew of 'Two and a Half Men' and everyone at CBS and Warner Bros., especially Les Moonves and Bruce Rosenblum for their concern and support. And to my fans, your good wishes have touched me very much. Like Errol Flynn, who had to put down his sword on occasion, I just want to say thank you."

Despite many stories circulating about Charlie's private life, the 45-year-old star insists he will never disclose what has gone on and wishes people would start concentrating on more important issues.

In a text message to US TV show 'E! News', the father-of-five said: "Believe nothing. I will never speak about any of this as long as I'm alive. You're all gonna have to keep towing the same redundant line, guessing wrong.(sic)"

In a later message, he said: "BTW, two wars are in an endless state of sorrow. Egypt about burned to the ground, and all you people care about is my bulls**t....? (sic)"

Rather than enter a rehab facility, Charlie has put together a team of professionals to help him overcome his troubles at home.
