Denise Van Outen to front new Five show

Denise Van Outen is to front 'OK! TV' for Channel 5.

The former 'Big Breakfast' host will be joined on the show - which is to replace axed 'Live From Studio Five' - by 'This Morning's Matt Johnson, with the pair presiding over a "mix of interviews, features from the world of celebrity, music and fashion, plus gossip and plenty of banter."

Denise said: "I have a huge appetite for all things showbiz so this show is right up my street. I'm really looking forward to working with Matt too and we can't wait to show the viewers what we've got in store."

Matt, 27, is delighted to have landed the role alongside 37-year-old Denise.

He said: "I think Denise and I are going to have a lot of fun together - I've long been an admirer of her presenting style and know we'll get along like a house on fire."

Channel 5 bosses are delighted with the pair's appointment and think the new show will provide something unique for viewers.

The station's Head of Factual, Andrew O'Connell, said: "'OK! TV' is set to become a key part of the Channel 5 schedule.

"Denise and Matt's refreshing and no-holds-barred take on the world of entertainment news will be a breath of fresh air."

The 30-minute live programme - which is being made by Sky News - will air weeknights from Monday 14 February.
