Christina Aguilera to design clothing collection

Christina Aguilera is to release her own clothing collection.

The 'Not Myself Tonight' singer has teamed up with Brazilian department store C&A to create a fashion line and says she can't wait to get to work.

Speaking at a press conference during Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil, Christina said: "I am here and very focused on the campaign."

While this will be Christina's first fashion line, she already has her own perfume range and recently said her two new scents were inspired by her mother.

The 'Burlesque' star delved back into her childhood to design her two new fragrances and cited her mother's love of "sensual" perfumes as the main inspiration behind them.

She said: "Growing up, I used to play with all the fragrances in my mother's vanity. She had a taste for musky, sensual scents."

The singer described her Christina Aguilera, fragrance as exotic and fruity while Christina Aguilera by Night, as a more intense blend with amber and black vanilla notes.

Although she has a hectic schedule juggling a singing and acting career with being a single mother to her son Max, the 30-year-old star revealed she never lets her beauty routine falter and passed on her tips for looking good.

She said: "I never go to sleep with make-up on and always moisturise my face and lips. I also try to condition my hair as much as possible."
