The son of Britain's Queen Elizabeth's accountant has landed a role in a film based on the love story of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Richard Reid, 26, will appear in the US TV movie 'William and Kate' playing a character believed to be based on the prince's best friend Guy Pelly according to the Daily Mail.
The son of Sir Alan Reid - who, as the queen's chief accountant is one of her most trusted aides - has previously taken on small roles in Hollywood films including 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' and 'The Hangover'.
Earlier this week it was revealed that unknown British actress Camilla Luddington has been plucked from obscurity to play Kate.
The 27-year-old brunette - who has previously had small roles in TV shows 'Days of Our Lives' and 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' - will star opposite New Zealander Nico Evers-Swindell as William.
The film will tell the story of the royal couple's romance from their first meeting at St. Andrews University in Scotland to their upcoming wedding on April 29.
An official synopsis of the movie declares: "The film chronicles the history of William and Kate - from the moment the two students met at Scotland's prestigious University of St Andrews, through the ups and downs of their nine-year courtship complicated by social and royal family pressures, and intense global attention surrounding their storybook nuptials."
Jens Richter, managing director of German distributor SevenOne international, which has secured rights to the script, described it as "this year's most moving television event".
