FBI Agent Killed While Serving Warrant in Indiana Township, Pennsylvania

An FBI agent was shot and killed during a drug bust at a home in Indiana Township, PA early Wednesday morning.

Special Agent Sam Hicks was reportedly serving a warrant to homeowner Robert Korbe when he was fatally shot. Korbe was struck by gunfire as well but it isn’t clear if that was from return fire by Hicks or another agent discharged their gun.

According to Special Agent in Charge Michael Rodriguez of the Pittsburgh FBI office Korbe had been one of a number of suspects being charged in a drug-trafficking indictment.

There have been no charges filed in the death of Hicks as the investigation continues.
