Chipmunk praises Chris Brown

Chipmunk believes Chris Brown was the only artist who could do his new single justice.

The 20-year-old British rapper - who collaborates with the US star on new track 'Champion' - thinks nobody would be able to sing the tune as well as Chris, as it comes "from the heart".

Chipmunk explained: "It's from the heart, it's a true story. I felt every single word and Chris meant every single word. I didn't want it to feel like I was just moaning about life. I wanted to uplift the people so I knew it needed something. It needed belting out.

"That's when I thought of Chris Brown. Nobody else is going to sing this better than him."

The 21-year-old hitmaker - whose career has experienced a rebirth since he served community service after assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna - liked the track so much he even asked if he could write a verse for it.

Chipmunk added to the Daily Star newspaper: "We sent it to him, he loved it, in fact he liked it so much he asked if he could write a verse.

"He wanted to rap and execute how he feels. When I heard the verse I was like, 'Wow that's some s**t'."
