Tinie Tempah worried about BRIT fall

Tinie Tempah is worried about falling over when he performs at the BRIT Awards next Tuesday (15.02.11).

The 'Written In The Stars' rapper - who leads the pack for the 2011 ceremony, with an impressive four nominations - has admitted he is terrified about performing at the event because he thinks he could embarrass himself on stage.

He said: "I was in France supporting Usher and I was thinking about my BRIT performance and I was thinking it's going to be such a big stage and I'm going to be with the band and there's gonna be lots of things going off and I thought 'I'm going to fall over'. I can see it happening already, I'm really worried about it."

Despite being nominated in the most categories this year, the British star - who has received nods in the British Male Solo Artist, British Single, British Breakthrough Act and Mastercard British Album of the year categories - doesn't think he will win them all and would be happy with one or two.

Speaking to Fearne Cotton on her BBC Radio 1 show, he said: "I don't think I can win all four, I don't really think about awards like that. Just being nominated is what excites me the most. If I could really get one or two it would have to be best breakthrough and best single.

"I was kinda hoping for one, one would be great. I was with Ellie Goulding when she won her Critics' Choice Award last year and I was saying 'let me hold your award' and I was touching and caressing it and I was thinking wow it would be so cool to win something like that."

Tinie also revealed he is delighted the awards have been moved to London's O2 arena this year because his mother lives nearby and joked he may get the bus.

He said: "It's around the corner from my mum's house, I could take the bus there I could take the 472. Fingers crossed if anything does happen it'll be in the local papers because that's where I grew up."
