Sylvester Stallone is set to star as a hitman in action thriller 'Headshot'.
The 64-year-old actor will play a New Orleans-based killer who must team up with a New York City police officer in the movie, set to be directed by 'The Cooler' filmmaker Wayne Kramer.
His character will work with the new, young detective on a journey taking them from New Orleans to Washington D.C., after they are brought together by two murders.
'The Messenger' scribe Alessandro Camon has written the script for the project, which begins shooting in May in Louisiana.
Sylvester last appeared in 2010's 'The Expendables' - in which he starred and directed - and is currently working on a sequel.
Discussing work on the film, which features performances from Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren among others, the action star said it was a difficult set.
He said: "Was it tough? Yes. You get these strong men who have a certain way of doing things on a film, and you have to get them to give that up.
"Like Jason in this film is totally different than in anything he's ever done. Dolph Lundgren is totally different."
