Sam Attwater's parent-meeting terror

Sam Attwater was terrified the first time he met his 'Dancing On Ice' partner's parents.

The former 'EastEnders' star - who is dating his professional skating partner Brianne Delcourt - admitted meeting the Canadian-born beauty's parents for the first time was a nerve-wracking experience.

He said: "The first time I met her dad was scary, though. It was just before the show, and he goes, 'Sam?' and I went, 'Hello, nice to meet you. I've got to go and get into my pink sequinned shirt and jockstrap now'."

However, Sam needn't have been worried as according to Brianne, her parents "loved" her new man.

She added to heat magazine: "They love him. We all went out for dinner a couple of nights ago, me Sam, my parents and his parents. They all got on great, which was a relief!"

The loved-up pair - who were placed top of the leaderboard for the fourth consecutive week on Sunday night's (06.02.11) show - confessed they even have pet names for one another.

Brianne explained: "We have pet names for each other. He calls me Tai Tai and I call him Shaneekwa. We clicked instantly. We love each other to bits, but we're just taking it day by day."
