Cheryl Cole will "always love" her ex-husband Ashley Cole.
The 'Promise This' singer - who divorced the England and Chelsea soccer player in September 2010 following allegations he had cheated on her several times - still thinks the pair are "meant for each other" despite their split, and admitted Ashley is still a "big part" of her life.
She explained: "I will always love him, always. He's a big part of my life. I don't think he ever wanted to let it go. We had a great relationship. He was my best friend.
"For me, it's not my past, it's very much my present. We were meant for each other."
The 27-year-old pop star had 'Mrs C' tattooed on her neck after the pair tied the knot in July 2006 and she has revealed she has no intention of getting the body art removed because she is "not ashamed" of her relationship with Ashley.
Cheryl told heat magazine: "I get a tattoo when things happen in my life that mean something. I'm not ashamed of anything. I've got nothing to rub away."
However, the brunette beauty admitted she has stopped listening to other people's advice about her life because she feels she has taken a lot of criticism for her personal decisions.
She added: "I have taken so much s**t. I've stopped listening to other people. I have had enough. I can't be under any more pressure than I've already been under."
