VIDEO: Sarah Palin Thankful for Health of Family, Turkeys Slaughtered in Background During Interview

While Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin was being interviewed by the Anchorage Daily News and expressing her thankfulness concerning the health of her family the background images caught by cameras showed quite a few turkeys who were less than thankful for their final moments as they were being slaughtered by an employee of the Triple D Farm and Hatchery.

It appeared as if Palin had no idea that the turkey slaughter was taking place as she answered questions from a reporter regarding her family and life after the 2008 presidential election.

Palin had been at the Triple D Farm and Hatchery to issue a pardon to one lucky turkey but the fate of those who failed to attract the Governor’s eye was clear as an employee, who appeared to love his job, took the life of several birds.

In part of her interview Palin told the reporter, “Certainly we'll probably invite criticism for even doing this, too, but at least this was fun.”
