People in the southern and plain states are getting prepared to be hit with another huge snow storm. Snow accumulation across the continental US has broken many records and has many people up north still covered in snow. The storm hit Denver late Monday night resulting in 4 to 8 inches of snow and is moving east. Along with precipitation the storm promises high winds and single digit temperatures. Last week’s storm that hit Texas severely affected the state and those traveling to the Super Bowl prompting the Governor to declare a State of Emergency.
The southwestern state of Texas is unaccustomed to snowfall and faces the possibility of this storm hitting them again. The Texas Department of Transportation reported that approximately 800 motor vehicle collisions happened in the Houston area alone keeping the DOT, police and accident attorneys on their toes. The storm headed east then north promises to deliver more snow and blustery weather.
Driving in winter weather conditions is tricky for those who aren’t accustomed to it. The precarious road conditions require special skills and practice to avoid collisions, but should an incident occur the involved parties should see an accident lawyer. People used to driving in winter weather know that maintaining a slow and steady pace is the best way to keep from sliding on icy roads. For the thousands of drivers who collided with other cars or things the support of an accident attorney will minimize the impact.
