AP Top 25 College Football Scores: #10 Ohio State Buckeyes Keep Dream of Big Ten Title Alive with Pounding of Michigan Wolverines

Beanie Wells rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown, Terrelle Pryor threw for 120 yards and a pair of TDs and Brian Hartline had 71 yards receiving and two touchdowns as the #10 Ohio State Buckeyes (10-2, 7-1) turned up the intensity in the second half and bombed the Michigan Wolverines (3-9, 2-6) 42-7 on Saturday to keep their hopes of a Big Ten title alive and a berth in the Rose Bowl.

The Buckeyes built a 14-0 lead in the first half as Wels scored on a 59-yard touchdown run in the opening quarter and Pryor hit Hartline on a 58-yard touchdown pass in the second frame but the Wolverines managed to pull to within 14-7 when Brandon Minor scored on a one-yard run just before the break.

Ohio State came out in the third quarter and quickly made it known that the Wolverines would not be scoring an upset as Daniel Herron scored on a 49-yard run and Pryor pushed the advantage to 28-7 with an 8-yard toss to Brian Robiskie.

Herron scored for the second time in the game early in the fourth with a 2-yard run and Todd Boeckman wrapped up the rout when he found Hartline on an 18-yard toss.

The Buckeyes rolled up 416 yards of total offense while their defense held Michigan to just 198 yards and forced a pair of turnovers. Ohio State will win the Big Ten title if Michigan State can upset Penn State.
