Noel Gallagher hasn't started work on his debut solo album yet.
The former Oasis guitarist - who famously quit the rock group in August 2009 following a bust-up with his brother Liam Gallagher - claims he hasn't recorded any tracks for the hotly-anticipated LP, and admits it is likely to be released "later rather than sooner".
He told UK radio station talkSPORT: "I am not recording new stuff, not just yet. It'll be out when it's finished I guess. Well, I've not even started it, so I don't know.
"I'd have thought probably if anything comes out it'll be later rather than sooner."
Despite his claims, The Last Shadow Puppets star Miles Kane recently revealed he has played guitar on a song for the 'Wonderwall' hitmaker's album in return for Noel appearing on his track 'My Fantasy'.
Miles explained: "I play guitar on one of his songs for his album. I was only in there for a couple of hours. I did my thing. I was mixing my record and I was going to do these harmonies to give it a boost - it was a bit flat. I text Noel saying, 'I need some icing on this tune,' and he said, 'Icing is what I do very well.'
"It's only a really subtle thing on the middle eight and the chorus of this song called 'My Fantasy'. It's nice. I'm very honoured that he did it. It's a nice little touch."
