NFL Scores Week 12: Chicago Bears Blast St. Louis Rams to End Two-Game Slide

Matt Forte rushed for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns, Kyle Orton threw for 139 yards and a TD and the Chicago Bears (6-5) defense held the hapless St. Louis Rams (2-9) offense to just 207 yards in a 27-3 blasting on Sunday to halt a two-game slide.

Forte got things started for the Bears with a 13-yard touchdown run on the opening drive and Orton made it 14-0 when he found Jason McKie on a 7-yard toss.

Chicago continued to use Forte in the second quarter and he found a hole and went 47-yards for a touchdown to extend the advantage to 21-0. Josh Brown stopped the bleeding for the Rams when he kicked a 43-yard field goal but Robbie Gould got the points back for the Bears with a 43-yarder of his own with 1:38 left in the half.

Gould added a field goal in the third quarter to wrap up the scoring as the Bears defense kept the Rams out of the endzone and held them to just 14 yards rushing on the day and forced four turnovers.
