NFL Scores Week 12: NY Jets Continue to Soar, End Tennessee Titans Perfect Season with Fifth Win in a Row

Brett Favre was 25/32 passing for 224 yards and two touchdowns, Thomas Jones collected 96 yards rushing while Leon Washington added 82 yards and two TDs on eight carries as the New York Jets (8-3) collected their fifth win in a row after handing the Tennessee Titans (10-1) their first loss 34-13 on Sunday.

Favre had the Jets in control from the beginning as he hooked up with Jones on a 10-yard touchdown toss in the first quarter and Jay Feely extended the advantage to 10-0 with a 20-yard field goal in the second. Rob Bironas finally got the Titans on the board with just under a minute left in the half when he connected on a 43-yard field goal.

Feely got those points back in the third frame with a 30-yard field goal and then Favre hit Laveranues Coles on a 2-yard toss to push the lead to 20-3 heading into the fourth.

Bironas managed to connect on another field goal but Washington put the game away for the Jets with a 61-yard touchdown run on the Jets next drive. Tennessee found the endzone when Kerry Collins hit Ahmard Hall on a 6-yard pass but Washington added a 4-yard TD run to wrap up the scoring.
