NFL Scores Week 12: Buffalo Bills Snap Four-Game Slide, Force Five Turnovers in Win Over KC Chiefs

Trent Edwards threw for 273 yards and two touchdowns, Lee Evans had 110 yards receiving on five catches and the Buffalo Bills (6-5) forced five turnovers in a 54-31 blasting of the Kansas City Chiefs (1-10) on Sunday.

Kansas City jumped to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter after Tyler Thigpen hit Jamaal Charles on a 36-yard touchdown pass but the Bills answered with a one-yard TD run from Marshawn Lynch to even the score at 7-7 heading into the second frame.

After Rian Lindell gave the Bills a 10-7 advantage Thigpen put the Chiefs back in front with a 2-yard TD toss to Tony Gonzalez. Lindell brought the Bills to within three with his second field goal of the quarter and then Leodis McKelvin picked off Thigpen and went 64-yards for the TD and a 20-14 advantage.

Connor Barth split the uprights to pull the Chiefs to 20-17 but with less than two minutes left in the half the Bills tacked on a field goal and Edwards found the endzone on a 15-yard run and Buffalo was up 30-17 at the break.

Buffalo put the game away in the third quarter as Edwards scored his second rushing touchdown of the game, a 5-yarder, and Lindell hit his fourth field goal of the game to give the Bills a 40-17 lead. Thigpen tried to get the Chiefs back in the game and hit Mark Bradley on a 45-yard touchdown pass but Edwards answered with two TD tosses of his own, an 8-yarder to Josh Reed and a 17-yarder to Derek Schouman, that sealed the game.
