NFL Scores Week 12: NY Giants Drop Arizona Cardinals for Sixth Straight Win

Eli Manning threw for 240 yards and three touchdowns, Derrick Ward rushed for 69 yards and a TD and John Carney kicked three field goals including the clincher with just under two minutes left in the game to give the New York Giants (10-1) a 37-29 victory over the Arizona Cardinals (7-4) on Sunday for their sixth straight win.

Neil Rackers provided the only points of the first quarter as his field goal gave the Cardinals a 3-0 lead heading into the second. Ward then scored on a one-yard run to give the Giants the 7-3 advantage but Tim Hightower answered for the Cardinals with a 4-yard TD run and Arizona was up 9-7 after their questionable two-point attempt failed.

Both teams traded field goals and then with 1:08 left in the half Manning hooked up with Amani Toomer on a 12-yard touchdown pass and the Giants never trailed after taking the lead 17-12.

Manning extended the advantage to 24-12 when he hit Madison Hedgecock on a 2-yard toss in the third quarter. Arizona turned to Hightower once again and he found the endzone from one-yard out to get the Cardinals to within five heading into the fourth quarter.

In the final frame Manning hit Kevin Boss on a 10-yard TD pass and Carney added a 27-yard field goal to give the Giants a 15-point cushion but Kurt Warner kept the Cardinals close after finding Anquan Boldin on a 5-yard pass to put the score at 34-226 with four minutes left.

New York then drove the field and got a 33-yard field goal from Carney with just under two minutes left to seal the game.
