A holiday park in the UK is facing a $16,000 clean-up bill after a flock of birds covered it in seven inches of droppings.
Staff at the Trevelgue Holiday Park in Newquay, Cornwall, ended up ankle-deep in faeces after a flock of tens of thousands of starlings flew over the area.
A bird scarer has now been brought in to try and move the feathered friends away from the site which will open for the season in April.
The park's managing director Mike Finnigan said: "The starlings flocking is a wonderful force of nature. The flying formations are magnificent but like everything every action has a reaction.
"Unfortunately there are some health hazards associated with that. The bird droppings are causing a major, major problem. It's acidic and the sheer quantity is phenomenal."
