In an interview on Wednesday’s ‘Piers Morgan Tonight,’ Donald Trump admitted he is “seriously” considering running for president as a Republican in 2012. The real estate mogul and ‘Apprentice’ host said he will make his final decision on whether to run for president by June.
“The country is doing very poorly. It just can't do much worse. We're not respected anywhere in the world. I am seriously thinking about it,” Trump told Morgan. “I won't make a decision until June. But I will make a decision and it may surprise people frankly, but I will make a decision sometime prior to June.”
Trump said his first act as president would be to put a “25 percent tax on all Chinese products.” “They will come to the table immediately. They will stop manipulating their currency which they're doing,” he explained.
“I love this country. I hate what's happened to this country. We're a laughingstock throughout the world. We're not respected,” said Trump.
