Jorgie Porter blames herself for Jennifer Metcalfe's DOI exit

Jorgie Porter blames herself for Jennifer Metcalfe's early 'Dancing On Ice' exit.

The 'Hollyoaks' actress - who plays Jennifer's on-screen cousin Theresa McQueen - explained a whole host of cast members went along to support the 27-year-old star on Sunday night (06.02.11), but they think she was only voted off the ITV1 show because one of them lost part of the banner they made.

Jorgie exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I was there the night she left, I was screaming - I've only just got my voice back. We made Jen a massive banner, but someone lost the end and then we were blaming ourselves and thinking she only got voted out because we lost it!

"I really don't think she should have gone. It was so unfair, she was just stunning and had so much more to give. She really had so much passion for it and we were gutted - we thought she'd go all the way to the final."

Despite being supportive of Jennifer - who plays man-eating Mercedes Fisher in the Channel 4 soap - admitted seeing her co-star compete in 'Dancing On Ice' had made her keen to appear in a reality TV show herself.

She added: "I would never do 'Dancing On Ice'. I'd end up whacking my teeth on the ice or something but I'd absolutely love to do 'Strictly'!

"I'd love to do like a 'Flashdance' kind of thing, not something dated. I think I'd definitely bring something fresh to it."
