David and Victoria Beckham's romantic NY getaway

David and Victoria Beckham will spend Valentine's Day (14.02.11) together in New York City.

The soccer player is reportedly planning to surprise his designer wife by taking a break from training to fly over to the American city, where she is launching her latest fashion collection.

It will be the first Valentine's Day the couple have spent together in seven years, so the 35-year-old sportsman decided to take four days off so he and Victoria, 36, can enjoy a romantic few days.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "David is flying out to support her on Sunday (13.02.11). He has booked a candlelit dinner at a Manhattan restaurant for Monday and is planning on whisking her off to Brooklyn Bridge - the inspiration for their eldest son's name."

The couple - who have been married for 11 years and have three children, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, Cruz, five, and have a fourth on the way - have every reason to celebrate as they are expecting a much-desired girl.

A 16-week scan at the private Rivers Hospital in Hertfordshire, South East England, showed the sex of the baby and the family are overjoyed.

A friend said: "David and Victoria are over the moon. This will be their last child and to be told they are having a girl is the icing on the cake for the Beckham clan.

"Victoria is 36 and David is thinking about life after retirement. For them, with a sister for their boys - who are growing up fast - this is the perfect family. All their dreams have come true. They couldn't have wished for more."
