Ant and Dec think Simon Cowell is best BGT judge

Ant and Dec think no one can replace Simon Cowell on 'Britain's Got Talent'.

The presenting duo are currently filming the new season of the ITV1 show with Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff who have replaced Piers Morgan and Simon to join Amanda Holden on the judging panel but Ant and Dec think the show suffers when the music mogul is not on it and can't wait for his return for the live finals.

Ant said: "Hoff does a great job but isn't Simon or Piers. You miss Simon because he is the best judge. He has that ability to say what you at home are thinking.

"Simon and Piers leaving has changed the mood of the show but you know it might be for the better."

However the pair are excited to be working with former 'Baywatch' hunk David - who was thrown off 'America's Got Talent' for drinking last year - and Dec admitted he sometimes gets awestruck.

He explained: "For me it's just great to be able to introduce the guy from Knight Rider every day."

Ant added to the Sun: "I really didn't know what to expect from the Hoff but he's just great at it. He's done 'America's Got Talent' so he knows how to do it."
