Casey Anthony Back in Court as Attorney Tries to Contest Gag Order

Casey Anthony, the 22-year-old mother accused of killing her three-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony, is back in court on Tuesday as she faces a judge who will be hearing nine motions related to the case against the Orlando woman.

Among the motions is a gag order that would prevent those closest to the case from discussing matters related to the upcoming trial. Included in the gag order would be the defense representing Casey Anthony as well as her family. The Orange County Sherriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office would also be part of the gag order.

The attorney representing Casey Anthony, Jose Baez, will look to block the motion for a gag order, saying on Monday that he has the right to respond to false allegations.

Casey Anthony is scheduled to be in court on January 5 where she stands trial on first-degree murder.

Caylee Anthony has been missing since June but Casey Anthony has continud to deny any involvement in teh disappearance, telling investigators she dropped her daughter off with a babysitter and when she returned both were gone.
