Sam Attwater apologised over fake romance

'Dancing on Ice' star Sam Attwater has reportedly apologised to show bosses for pretending to romance his skating partner Brianne Delcourt.

The pair gave a number of interviews where they spoke about their relationship - including the actor saying they were "exclusively" dating one another - but Sam has now backtracked after he was spotted kissing another professional skater, Alexandra Schauman at the weekend.

After it was claimed Sam and Brianne had faked their romance in order to gain more votes from viewers, the former 'EastEnders' actor told producers: "We were together but we're not now."

However, Alexandra -married to skater Lucasz Rozycki, who also works on the show - insists she is not in a relationship with Sam.

She commented: "We were drunk, messing about."

Despite her remarks, an on-set source has claimed her Polish husband was furious after pictures of the pair in a clinch emerged leading to a terrible atmosphere behind the scenes.

The source said: "He had a face like thunder. He was in a foul mood."

On last night's show (13.02.11) Sam and Brianne dressed up as a bride and groom with host Phillip Schofield joking about their daring routine: "That was nearly as complicated as your love life."
