Helena Bonham Carter forgets BAFTA bolero

Helena Bonham Carter almost forgot to take her jacket home with her as she left a post-BAFTAs party at the W London - Leicester Square hotel.

The 44-year-old star won the Best Supporting Actress prize for her performance in 'The King's Speech' at the ceremony at London's Royal Opera House last night (13.02.11) and decided to celebrate at the Weinstein Company and Momentum bash at the Wyld nightclub in the new hotel.

She attended the exclusive after-party with her partner Tim Burton and the pair enjoyed cocktails with the other A-list guests, including her 'King's Speech' co-star and fellow BAFTA winner Colin Firth - who took home the statuette for Best Actor - and his wife Livia Giuggioli.

But as she decided to head home, Helena forgot her bolero jacket.

A source, who overheard the actress talking to Tim, told BANG Showbiz: "When Helena decided to head home, she turned to Tim and said, 'Oh no, I've forgotten my bolero.' To which he jokingly replied, 'You've not only forgotten your bolero, you've forgotten your BAFTA as well.'

"But once she got back to her table she decided the night was still young and instead stayed with Tim for some more celebratory drinks."

Revellers were treated to a special themed drink, the Wyld Shot - which tickled their taste buds with a combination of premium tequila, kaffir lime sugar syrup, lemon and fresh watermelon - and an impressive guest list was in attendance.

Among the party goers were Emma Watson, Gemma Arterton, Ronnie Wood, Rupert Grint, Neve Campbell, Darren Aronofsky, Dominic Cooper, Mark Ruffalo, Amy Adams and film producer Harvey Weinstein - who hosted the event, the first at the hotel which opened today (14.02.11).

Kevin Rockey, General Manager of W London - Leicester Square, said: "W London's passions are firmly rooted in entertainment, music and design so hosting the BAFTA party was a natural fit for us. To open with a bang and challenge tradition, we threw open our doors at midnight on 14 February and were thrilled to welcome guests from the BAFTA Awards to celebrate."
