Victoria Beckham showcases latest collection

Victoria Beckham showcased her autumn/winter 2011 line with a stylish presentation at New York Fashion Week yesterday (13.02.11).

The former Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer - who is pregnant with her fourth child - held an intimate show at a townhouse in the city to publicise her latest collection, and while her signature fitted dresses were still included, many looser shapes were evident.

Although the line had more forgiving cuts than her previous collections, Victoria insists she didn't create it with her growing bump in mind.

She said: "I designed this collection before I found out I was pregnant. I can't wait to fit in the dresses again."

Eveningwear remains one of Victoria's strong points with floor-length gowns playing an important role, while features such as draped necklines and grosgrain ribbon belts carried through into the collection, which will be in store from August.

Models in the show all wore Christian Louboutin shoes and had their hair covered by skull caps.

Her handbag line has also expanded with boxy totes in bright red and a clutch in maroon croc, as well as a more casual over-the-shoulder style in beige and black.

While her designs have become popular with A-list stars all over the world, Victoria also revealed how Kate Middleton - future wife of Prince William - has now asked to see some of her designs.

She said: "Apparently, she likes my clothes and has asked to see a selection. It will be from my current spring/summer collection. It's tremendously exciting and I would be honoured if she were to wear my designs. I admire her tremendously.

"She's a beautiful young girl, she has a wonderful figure and I think she wears clothes beautifully."
