Charlie Sheen ready to return to Two and a Half Men

Charlie Sheen is "ready" to return to work on TV show 'Two and a Half Men'.

The troubled actor - who recently underwent a stay in hospital after a 36-hour drink and drug binge - has blasted the executives of the comedy show for not being prepared for his return.

He told Premiere Radio Network's 'The Dan Patrick Show': "The execs said, 'You get ready and we'll get ready,' and I got ready and went back and nobody was there. I don't know what to tell you. I'm here and I'm ready. They're not. Bring it."

However, the show's creator Chuck Lorre is believed to have cut the original plan to film eight more episodes in the series down to four, annoying the crew as it means a cut in pay.

A crew member told TMZ: "We've been left in the dark and now we have no pay for four episodes and all we hear is that Chuck is saying, 'Not my problem.' "

It is currently expected production will continue on February 28, with the remaining four episodes shot in March.

Charlie, 45, has passed two drugs tests since entering into rehab at his home, and friends report he claims to be "feeling great" and "itching to get back to work as soon as possible."
