A woman arrested after trespassing at the home of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia Di Rossi has been charged.
Karen Grace Sjoden, 49, has been officially charged with misdemeanor trespass after being found on the property belonging to the media personality and her long-term partner last Thursday (10.02.11)
She will be arraigned in a Beverly Hills courtroom late Monday afternoon (14.02.11).
Karen was discovered by security at the couple's Californian mansion on Thursday, but never made it into the house itself and did not make contact with Ellen or Portia.
A representative for Ellen confirmed: "The property is protected by a 24-hour security team that detected and detained the intruder until she has turned over to the custody of Beverly Hills Police officers."
Ellen purchased the home in late 2007, and has spent £18.7 million on furnishing, upgrades and security.
The showbiz couple tied the knot in 2008 and actress Portia has previously revealed the talk show host has helped to completely change her life.
She said: "Ellen has completely changed the way I look at life. She has made me not worry about what other people think. I'm still working on that, I have to be honest.
"She has taught me that who I am is perfectly good enough."
