Britain's Prince William has banned his brother Prince Harry from organising a wild stag night.
The future king - who is to marry Kate Middleton on April 29 at London's Westminster Abbey - has asked his party-loving sibling to be his best man on the big day but has warned him he doesn't want to cause controversy with a raucous and expensive bash according to the Daily Mail.
Initial ideas for William's last few days of freedom ranged from a saucy burlesque act to exclusive use of close friend Guy Pelly's club Public, a regular celebrity haunt, but the 28-year-old royal wants a "private" and "more mature" long weekend outside the capital.
Trips abroad are understood to have been ruled out for both the stag do and Kate's hen do because of the complex security involved and the risk of a public backlash over costs.
The royal family are also keen to avoid the controversy provoked when William flew a helicopter to his cousin Peter Phillips' stag night on the Isle of Wight at taxpayers' expense.
While the best man and Kate's bridesmaids - including her sister Pippa as the Maid of Honour and Prince Edward's daughter Lady Louise Windsor - were announced yesterday (14.02.11), his late mother Princess Diana's 16-year-old nephew, the Honourable Louis Spencer, is expected to be a 'groomsman'.
Another groomsman is expected to be William's friend Will van Cutsem, 31, a property investment manager.
