Kissing record broken

The world record for longest kiss has been broken in Thailand.

Fourteen couples took part in the competition for Valentine's Day at Pattaya City, with half of them managing to beat the previous record of 32 hours, seven minutes and 14 seconds, set in Germany in 2009.

The seven successful couples then locked lips again to compete against each other for a cash prize and diamond ring.

Those participating were allowed to eat and drink - but only through straws whilst kissing - but had to accompany each other to the toilet, with others looking on to make sure they didn't cheat.
